The Ohio CPA Foundation is working diligently to ensure a healthy and vibrant future for the CPA profession. With the coming exit of Baby Boomers from the workforce and increasing competition for the best and brightest students, recruiting the next generation of CPAs is critically important.
The Student Ambassador Program operates at 15 universities. With the help of the Ambassadors, students have a better understanding of rewarding career opportunities that come with an accounting degree and the benefits of becoming a CPA.
High School Accounting Career Days are half-day events that bring local high school students together on a college campus to learn about the accounting major and CPA careers. Local CPAs serve as speakers and share insights into the profession and explain the variety of career paths available. College accounting majors encourage students to follow their path and also share advice related to the transition from high school to college.
The Ohio CPA Foundation’s College Scholarship Program awards Ohio’s accounting majors who plan to become CPAs. Applications are accepted annually from September through mid-November. Scholarships are awarded the following summer for fall tuition and fees.
