ODT rolls out Online Notice Response Service

The Ohio Department of Taxation on Sept. 10 announced a new service that allows taxpayers and tax practitioners to electronically respond to notices, reply to information requests, file appeals and submit forms.

The Online Notice Response Service is available for individual/school district income, business, and excise taxes at tax.ohio.gov or through the Ohio Business Gateway.

An OH|ID account is required. Users of the Ohio Business Gateway already have an OH|ID account and can use this feature by accessing the new service area, “Online Notice Response Service.” Those who do not have an OH|ID account can create one here.

Users should keep notices and forms handy, as the required information to use the service has been added. For more information, visit the tax.ohio.gov webpage.
