Two OSCPA members have been confirmed for appointment by Senate President Matt Huffman to the Ohio State Audit Committee.
Ann Gabriel, CPA, is reappointed to complete a new term, and Greg Long, CPA, is newly appointed to serve a three-year term.
The State Audit Committee is a five-member committee that assists the Governor and Director of the Office of Budget and Management in fulfilling their oversight responsibilities in the areas of financial reporting, internal controls and risk assessment, audit processes, and compliance with laws, rules and regulations.
Gabriel is a professor at Ohio University and has previously served on the OSCPA Executive Board of Directors and Professional Ethics Committee and chaired OU’s School of Accountancy.
Long is co-founder and president at Long, Cook, & Samsa Inc. and has more than 30 years of public accounting experience.
