2018 has been a busy year at the Ohio Society of CPAs. We recently signed on to support the Columbus Commitment: Achieving Pay Equity. We’ve hired new team members who bring unique perspectives and experiences to their respective roles; they are ready and capable to serve you, and we are excited to see how they grow at OSCPA.

We’ve embraced opportunities to talk about the issues impacting our profession – everything from diversity and inclusion to credentialing. We have stood up on your behalf when we see regulations that would hinder CPAs and the work they do. We have advocated for municipal tax reform, tax conformity to federal law changes, bright line residency, and many more issues that affect CPAs around Ohio. We have listened to feedback from members and improved our offerings to better fit your needs. We’re excited to bring the Business Development Workshop to you again in 2019, as well as the new Women, Wealth & Wellness workshop coming up in June.

Through all of this, we have never lost sight of the valuable work our members do, not only at the office or for their clients, but out in their communities, for their neighbors, families and friends. We appreciate the hours you put in to volunteering, the money you raised for worthy causes and the donations you contributed to deserving scholars who are pursuing the accounting major.

So, for these reasons and many more, we want to offer a heartfelt thank you to YOU, our members. We are grateful to know you, work with you and continue to improve the state of business in Ohio with you. We are looking forward to 2019, and we hope you have a happy, prosperous holiday season.
