Former OSCPA board member to become NASBA chair

Former OSCPA Executive Board member Theodore (Ted) W. Long Jr., CPA, will become NASBA chair at the association’s Oct. 31 annual meeting. He has held numerous leadership positions as a member of the NASBA board of directors and served as chair and member of committees and taskforces.

Long is a former two-term member of the Accountancy Board of Ohio. He has served on various boards of nonprofits and business enterprises.

Originally from Kansas City, Long transferred to EY Cleveland and after 30 plus years in public accounting, retired as a partner.

The theme of the NASBA annual meeting is “Shaping the Future,” with emphasis on the continual evolution of the accounting profession.

    Congratulations as well to Ted.  I have had the honor of knowing and working with Ted thru NASBA and the Accountancy Board of Ohio.  Outstanding CPA but more important an excellent person.
