ABO launching new licensing & renewal website

The Accountancy Board of Ohio will transition this spring to a new licensing and renewal website that will be available 24/7 and allows for faster application processing.

The new eLicense system will eliminate the need for paper applications and payments via personal checks. The system will provide confirmation of fee payments and application submissions and will improve the ability of the ABO to communicate with and guide users through the licensure and renewal process.

Starting Jan. 22, eLicense Ohio will begin using the Ohio Business Portal (OH-ID) for account management. OH-ID will serve as the front end to several state systems for users who conduct business with the State. It will allow users who use one or more state systems to maintain one username and password at the statewide level.

  • If you have previously registered in eLicense Ohio, you will need to register at the Ohio Business Portal. A link will be established for seamless future access to eLicense Ohio when you provide your eLicense Ohio username and password.
  • If you have never registered in eLicense Ohio, but have an existing license, you will need to register at the Ohio Business Portal. A link will be established for seamless future access to eLicense Ohio when you provide the security code provided by your Board.
  • If you are new to eLicense Ohio, you will need to register at the Ohio Business Portal. A link will be established for seamless future access to eLicense Ohio when you also register in eLicense Ohio.
