New tax law could be victim of shutdown
A prolonged federal government shutdown could throw implementation of the new tax law into turmoil and disrupt the start of the filing season. A plan released by Treasury doesn’t mention activities on implementing the new tax law as exempt from a shutdown, but some tax season planning would continue.
