  • IRS delays payroll form changes until 2026 under new tax law

    The IRS issued IR-2025-82 confirming that major payroll and reporting forms — including W-2s, 1099s and Form 941 — will remain unchanged for the 2025 tax year despite the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Federal withholding tables will also stay the same.

  • State collects $2.3 billion in tax revenue for July

    According to preliminary figures released Aug. 6, the state collected a total of $2.3 billion in General Revenue Fund tax dollars in July, the first month of FY26. This was 11.4% or $238.7 million more than was collected in July 2024.
