The Accounting Careers Leadership Academy

The Accounting Careers Leadership Academy (ACLA; formerly the ASCEND Leadership Conference) is an exciting professional development opportunity to help college students from underrepresented backgrounds prepare for a successful future in the accounting industry. Participants will hear from leaders in the profession as they highlight the limitless possibilities of a career as a CPA.

ASPIRE is designed specifically for students attending community colleges and two-year institutions who are interested in careers in accounting and business. Students also find out how their associates degree can be the springboard to the next level of their education.

High School Accounting Career Days

High School Accounting Career Days are half-day events that bring local high school students together on a college campus to learn about the accounting major and CPA careers. Local CPAs serve as speakers and share insights into the profession and explain the variety of career paths available. College accounting majors encourage students to follow their path and also share advice related to the transition from high school to college.

The Ohio CPA Foundation’s College Scholarship Program awards Ohio’s accounting majors who plan to become CPAs. The application period is open and will close December 2, 2018.
