Becoming a CPA in Ohio

Complete 150 semester hours. 30 semester hours must be in accounting.

Must complete during an 18 month time frame. Each section is 3-4 hours.

Ohio requires 3 hours of Ethics education.

Have one year of accounting experience, verified by a CPA. Internships count!

The Accounting Careers Leadership Academy (ACLA; formerly the ASCEND Leadership Conference) is an exciting professional development opportunity to help college students of color prepare for a successful future in the accounting industry. ASPIRE: Opportunities in Accounting

ASPIRE is designed specifically for students attending community colleges and two-year institutions who are interested in careers in accounting and business. Students meet local business and accounting professionals to learn about career opportunities and what it takes to become a CPA. Students also find out how their associates degree can be the springboard to the next level of their education.
